Another website attacked to abuse old versions of Internet Explorer.

November 11, 2010

It seems that another high profile website has been attacked to take advantage of a zero-day bug in version 6 and 7 of Internet Explorer; this time it’s Amnesty International Hong Kong site.  At present, Internet Explorer 8 is not affected.

My Advice, upgrade to version 8 ASAP or better still, switch to another browser.  I’ve written a useful article on this very subject.

What is a zero-Day bug?

A zero-day bug is an error in the way a piece of software, that has not been fixed by the software company,  that allows someone to gain access to your computer.
