June 3, 2010
According to messagelabs, spam accounts for 90% of all email sent over the internet. Most of this spam is generated from list obtained through registering on websites. Quite often we hand over our personal email address in order to obtain information or to purchase goods.
And this is where the problem starts because this information of then passed on to "partners" or stolen via hacking or installation of malware/spyware.
A great way to reduce the amount of spam you receive if to use a temporary email address. I know from personal experience that using this technique enables me to remain safe and to track who has leaked my data.
10minutemail enables you to use a temporary email address, for whatever purpose, without giving out your real address.
